2. Product Identification

This product safety information applies to the following OKTAKON aluminium hardcases:
– OKTAKON Aluminium Hardcase for MacBook Pro 13″
– OKTAKON Aluminium Hardcase for MacBook Air 13″
– OKTAKON Aluminium Hardcase for MacBook Pro 14″
– OKTAKON Aluminium Hardcase – “MacBook Neo” product variant

Product type: Non-electronic protective storage and transport case for compatible MacBook models.
Main materials:
– Anodised aluminium outer shell
– EVA foam interior with fabric covering
– Hinges, latch and metallic connecting components

3. Intended Use

The OKTAKON Aluminium Hardcase is intended exclusively for the protected storage and transportation of a compatible MacBook model.

Before closing the hardcase, make sure that:
– the MacBook is fully and correctly positioned inside the designated interior padding;
– no cables, chargers, accessories or other objects are trapped between the MacBook, frame or latch;
– no fingers or other body parts are positioned between the frame edges, hinges or latch.



The MacBook must not be operated or charged while it is inside the closed hardcase. Operating or charging the device inside the closed hardcase may restrict heat dissipation and cause heat build-up.

4. Warnings and Safety Instructions

Risk of pinching
When opening or closing the hardcase, there is a risk of pinching, particularly around the hinges, frame edges and latch. Keep fingers and other body parts away from these areas throughout the opening and closing process.

Check before closing
Do not close the hardcase until the MacBook is correctly positioned inside the interior padding and no fingers, cables, accessories or foreign objects are located between the case edges.
Do not operate the MacBook inside the closed hardcase
Do not switch on, operate or charge the MacBook while it is inside the closed hardcase.

Damaged products
Discontinue use if the hardcase is damaged, significantly deformed or broken, no longer closes properly or has developed sharp edges.

Children and packaging materials
The hardcase and its packaging materials are not toys. Keep plastic films, bags and other packaging components away from children.

Improper use
For damage resulting from use contrary to the intended purpose, failure to follow the safety and usage instructions or unauthorised modifications to the product, OKTAKON GmbH shall only be liable to the extent required by applicable law. Mandatory statutory liability rights remain unaffected.

5. Material Testing and Product Safety Documentation

The materials used for this product series have been examined as part of independent chemical testing.
According to the available test reports and confirmation from the testing service provider, the results may be used for the tested products and materials in connection with distribution within the European Union, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

OKTAKON GmbH maintains technical and product safety documentation for these products. This documentation may include:

According to the available confirmation, the existing chemical test reports may also be used for the tested products and materials in connection with distribution in Switzerland.
